Come Join Us on the Sand!

This summer marks the 14th year that Leaside Volleyball Club will be offering beach volleyball programming at Ashbridge's Bay in Toronto!   Programs start in May and run all summer long until the end of August.

For our 2022 beach season, we are thrilled to be offering THREE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels!

Competitive 2's Training

May 24 - June 30
2-times per week, Tues. & Thurs.

4:30-6:15pm
(12 sessions)

Vertical Divider
Designed for Club Level athletes to develop and train for competition in the OVA Beach Tour.  (12U-18U, with a minimum of one-year of Club experience)

Sessions will focus on all aspects of the competitive 2’s game and will be headed up by Olympic Bronze Medalist, John Child.  John not only represented Canada at 3 Olympic games as a player, but has now spent the past 16 years coaching top athletes from Club all the way up to the Olympic level. 

The "Competitive 2's Beach Training" is intended as an instructional program.  Athletes will train twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:15pm.

Cost will be $475 for 6 weeks  (12 sessions).
 

Leaside Ladder

May 25 - June 29
1 day per week on Wednesdays

Designed for athletes of all skill levels, ages 13 years + or having had at least one year of Club volleyball experience.

Athletes will participate with a partner in a team of two (co-ed teams are permitted).   Athletes that register for the Leaside Ladder without a partner will be paired with an appropriate level athlete.

Sessions will consist of friendly game play only.  Each session will consist of four 20-min games.  At the conclusion of each game, teams will switch courts in accordance with their game results.  This will ensure that teams play other teams of similar skill. 

Coaches will provide instruction and feedback to athletes and teams.  However, the Leaside Ladder is not intended as an individual instructional program.  The intent of this program is to develop athletes and teams in a game play situation and encourage friendly competition.
 

Beach Camps

June 27 - August 18
5 days per week, Mon.-Fri.

Full Days 9am-4pm, or
Half Days AM 9am-12pm, or
Half Days PM 1pm-4pm

$450 (Full Days), or
$250 (Half Days)
**Training Programs in Weeks 1, 6 and 8 will be limited to 4 days in lieu of the Canada Day Holiday (July 1), the Civic Holiday (Aug. 3) and VC Beach Nationals (Aug.19).  Fees for these weeks will be $375 (Full Days) and $200 (Half Days).

Designed for all athletes 8 years + and all skill levels, including Club level athletes training for competition in the OVA Beach Tour.

Athletes will be grouped by Age and Level of Play within each session to ensure a competitive training environment.
 
Athletes who only wish to train half days for upcoming OVA events should sign up for the morning Camps (9am - 12pm).
 
The afternoons of our Beach Camps will include volleyball instruction and game play as well as other fun activities, such as paddle boarding and swimming. Perfect for young players and players who are just learning the game. 

Full day training runs from 9am - 4pm;  Half day training runs from either 9am - 12pm or 1 - 4pm.

Should a camp day be cancelled due to inclement weather (prolonged thunder/lightning), participants will be offered to make up the cancelled day during any one of our alternate Beach Camp weeks.
All Leaside Beach Programs are sanctioned by the Ontario Volleyball Association.

Parking and drop off by Tim Horton's at Northern Dancer Blvd, and Lakeshore Blvd.

NEW for 2021!  Leaside Ladder League!

New in 2021, we will be introducing our "Leaside Ladder League"!  This once-a-week program is 100% GAME PLAY!
The intent of this program is to provide athletes with the opportunity to engage in friendly game play while developing their individual and team based skills and strategies.
